Dandelion | Mindeulle

민들레
Dandelion is very much more than an annoying weed that never goes away.

Greens from dandelions can be used in stir-fries, banchan dishes, and soups. Leaves, stems, and roots can be dried and used in tea drinks.

Shopping:
Dandelion greens are sometimes available at larger Korean markets, farmer's markets, and some specialty grocers. Check for uniform color and healthy-looking leaves and stems (no black or brown spots).

Foraging:
You should forage from areas that have not been sprayed with pesticides or herbicides, as well as from areas that are free from pet feces and urine.

Used in:
Mindeulle Muchim (민들레 무침)
Mindeulle Namul (민들레 나물)
Mindeulle Kimchi (민들레 김치)
