Cucumber
Korean cucumbers tend to be a lighter green color with small bumps on the skin. The flesh also tends to be a bit firmer and a little less sweet than standard American cucumbers. Common cucumber or English Cucumbers are good substitutes.

Shopping:
Look for uniform coloring or coloring with a slight shading from lighter to darker. Avoid those with yellow or dark spots, and those with soft spots.

Growing:
Cucumbers are fairly easy to grow. Provide a climbing trellis and keep the vine/stems trimmed to one or two branches for the best fruit growth.
Soil with good drainage, a natural fertilizer, and a consistent watering schedule gave us summer-long availability.
