Spicy Beef Marinade Image by hannaone
Seasoning meats before cooking is one of the basic techniques of Korean Cuisine. This recipe is for a very basic marinade for beef that you can adapt to your own taste preference.
Ingredients for about 12 ounces of beef:
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon minced green onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
½ tablespoon sesame seeds
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon coarse ground chili pepper for spicy
Korean pear juice and/or green onion juice may be added (for bulgogi seasoning).
Other Possible Additions
Maesil Extract
Apple
Rice Wine
Honey
Plum Wine
Black Raspberry Wine
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix them well. Let stand for at least 15 minutes before adding to beef.
Marinate beef for at least 1 hour.
